Historically,
humans and
nature
coexisted
until people
began to
gather in
groups. In
time, these
small
villages
developed
into our
major
cities. As
civilisations
began to
draw their
boundaries,
humans began
to claim the
land and the
natural
environment
as evidence
of their
social power
and control.
As a result,
we became
alienated
from mother
nature
instead of
coexisting
with her. It
is our
desire to be
in control.
Naturalisation
examines the
many ways in
which human
intervention
has
negatively
impacted our
ecosystem.
